How It Works

FAQS for DIY

Q: How do Provence Brothers Flat Packs differ to some other flat packs I’ve seen online?

A: Provence Brothers is an established business with a solid reputation for producing high-quality, bespoke cabinetry solutions. Our flat packs online ordering system streamlines the design and ordering process allowing our customers to achieve all the quality of our bespoke services at a better price because they are managing the design, assembly and installation components themselves. All our flat packs are manufactured locally in our Perth factory, unlike many other flat pack cabinets which may be imported and made using lower quality materials. Producing locally also enables us to complete the order of your cabinets in two weeks or less.

Q: I don’t have any experience designing cabinets and I’m worried I might make mistakes.

A: Our sophisticated design and ordering system has been created to make the entire process as easy and enjoyable as possible. This includes providing a variety of design templates that are based on the most commonly used cabinetry configurations in rooms like kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and living rooms. Each cabinetry component used in the templates is fully customisable allowing you to tweak the design to perfectly fit your space. And the system provides lots of helpful advice along the way to ensure all aspects of your design are carefully considered before you finalise it. We are also only a phone call away to answer any of your queries.

Q: What sort of finishes will I be able to choose from?

A: Provence Brothers Flat Packs enables you to choose from hundreds of different colours, patterns and finishes from reputable brands like Laminex and Polytec. You choose the finish that best suits your style and budget and can even choose contrasting finishes for different areas of your cabinetry.

Q: How do I know whether Provence Brothers Flat Packs will suit my budget?

A: Our sophisticated software includes pricing for all of the elements that go into manufacturing your custom flat packs. This enables you to easily compare prices for different finishes and hardware so you can quickly decide which options will work best for your needs and budget. Each time you add a particular cabinetry component, the price is added to your tally allowing you to review your total spend as you create your design.

Q: What about the hardware, what is supplied and is it good quality?

A: All Provence Brothers Flat Packs are supplied with your choice of Blum hardware. We offer Standard, Executive and Premium hardware packs which all feature Blum’s signature quality but include variations for additions like ‘soft close’ cupboards and drawers. The hardware supplied includes all your cabinetry’s internal mechanisms and hinges but does not include external handles.

Q: What sort of tools and equipment will I need to install my flat pack cabinets?

A: Provence Brothers Flat Packs are designed to be easily assembled and installed using a small number of basic tools which, depending on the products you order, include a cordless drill, tape measure, spirit level, screws and wall fixing accessories. Whilst our ‘how to’ videos provide helpful advice on assembling your flat pack cabinets, they don’t provide any instructions on how to use the tools themselves so this is something you will need prior experience with before commencing your installation.

Q: I’m still trying to decide how I want my cabinets to look so should I wait until I’m sure before getting started?

A: No, you can start your flat pack cabinet design process at any time with us and log in and out as often as you need to before finalising your design. Simply getting started may help highlight style and functionality issues you may not have considered and is likely to assist you in the overall planning of your space.

Q: Do I have to pay to use your online design system.

A: No, until you confirm your order, you’re under no obligation to proceed and won’t incur any costs. Even if you’re only considering new cabinets for your home, our system is a great way to accurately price up the components you need in the finishes of your choice.

Q: I’m part way through the design process using your system but I have some questions, do you have a support team?

A: Yes, being a local cabinet making company, our experienced staff are here to answer any questions you may have about designing your project, ordering with us or installing your new cabinets once they are delivered.

Q: I was planning on installing my flat pack cabinets myself but now I’ve changed my mind, can you help?

A: Yes, if you would prefer us to install your cabinets for you, we can provide a quote. This will be determined by whether you only need us to install the cabinets or also manage other related services such as bench top installations, plumbers, electricians etc.
